![]() ![]() Gl_enhanced_nightvision Enables or disables the enhanced nightvision effect which changes how the PowerLightAmp and PowerTorch effects work. Gl_mirror_envmap Enables or disables the use of the mirror.png texture (contained in gzdoom.pk3) as an environment map on mirrors. It specifically affects A_Light and its variants. Gl_weaponlight How effective the weapon brightens the player's view when shooting. Weapon light strength (0-32, by 2 increments). This is recommended for white fogs but should not be used for black fogs. Gl_brightfog If this option is turned on, foggy sectors use full brightness and treat the light level as fog density. Note that all sector light modes except "Software" and "Vanilla" implement standard Doom diminishing light as black fog, so if the fog mode is set to "Off", everything will appear as its normal light level regardless of distance. If shaders are unavailable, the GLSL-based modes fall back to "Doom" mode. Vanilla: GLSL-based emulation of original Doom's lighting, in theory, but in practice appears a step darker overall.Software: GLSL-based emulation of the ZDoom software renderer's lighting.Textures in foggy areas are completely obscured unless extremely close to the player. Lighting is similar to original Doom's near the player, but drops off sharply to total darkness after a modest distance. Build: GLSL-based emulation of, presumably, the Build engine.Visually about halfway between "Standard" and "Bright". Doom Legacy: Emulates Doom Legacy 1.42's OpenGL lighting.Dark: Identical to "Doom", but without the brighter halo effect around the player.Closer, but still not as dark as original Doom. Doom: An early approximation of Doom's diminishing light effect.Bright: Like "Standard", but with very weak fog dropoff, keeping distant sectors relatively bright.Fairly close to original Doom for bright areas, but dark areas are much brighter overall, and the full gamut of light levels is considerably smaller. Note that the choice made here can be overridden by the lightmode property in a MAPINFO map definition. Gl_lightmode Chooses which method to use for managing light diminishing of ambient light levels in sectors. Sector light mode (Standard/Bright/Doom/Dark/Doom Legacy/Build/Software/Vanilla).The OpenGL options menu allows to access the various submenus that control how the game is displayed when using the OpenGL renderer. Warning: This feature does not work in ZDoom but in its OpenGL children ports. ![]()
